- Presenters: If you are presenting and haven’t received a confirmation email about your presentation’s location and time, please reach out to me ASAP. Note: No “walk-up” presentations will be permitted, and all presenters must have pre-submitted their presentation information.
- General Parking: Look for signs! Attendees are directed to park on the 5th floor (top floor) of the P4 Parking Garage (see parking map below). Anyone parking on other floors is subject to citation. Campus officers will be onsite to assist.
- Parking for Oversized Vans or Buses: Please park in Lot 10K by entering through the south entrance near the College of Nursing off Stonewall Ave. (see campus map below). Oversized vehicles should use the southeast section of the lot. A ticket is required to enter, and you may press the button to exit. Enforcement officers are aware that vehicles may park here; if approached, simply mention "OAS."
- Check-In and Registration: Registration and check-in will begin at 7:30 AM on the 5th floor of Nicholson Tower, where attendees can pick up their nametags (please wear these throughout the meeting). Onsite registration will also be available for those that did not preregister (no cash accepted).
- Oral Presentations: The first oral presentations start at 8:30 AM and run concurrently through the morning. Locations and details are in the program; please note that morning presentations are in the Allied Health Building. Presenters should allow extra time to travel from the registration area to their assigned rooms.
- Academy Business Meeting: The agenda for the meeting, which runs from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, is posted on the Archives page. All are welcome to attend, and the meeting will be held on the 5th floor of Nicholson Tower.
- Academy Luncheon: For those who purchased tickets, the luncheon will start at noon on the 5th floor of Nicholson Tower. Dr. H. Anne Pereira, Dean of the Graduate College at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center will be our Academy Luncheon keynote speaker. We have a very limited number of available box lunches that can be purchased onsite. Click here to see more information on Dr. Pereira.
- Poster Session: This session follows the Academy Luncheon, running from 1:30-3:30 PM in Conference Rooms A and B of the Nicholson Tower. The host campus (OUHSC) is providing all materials needed for poster displays. Check the program for further details.
ANNUAL TECHNICAL MEETING
The 2023 Technical Meeting will be held in person at East Central University on Friday, November 5.
Are You Presenting Research at the Convention?
Oral Presentations: Concurrent sessions for each section will run in the morning and early afternoon (as needed). Presenters should bring presentations on a memory stick and presentations should be uploaded to room computer as earlier possible. Remote clickers will be available in order for presenters to advance slides. Moderators will be available to introduce your talk. The time allotted for oral presentations is 15 minutes; which includes time for questions. Moderators will not allow you to go beyond 15 minutes.
Poster Presentations: The poster session is scheduled immediately after lunch (1:30-3:00). Presenters will be supplied with everything they need to hang their posters. Posters can be hung anytime before 1:30. Posters should not exceed 36" x 48".
